Hey Everyone, I am a Service Member new to the Area. We are diehard Walleye fisherman, and are looking for some information about walleye fishing in Eastern
Pa. I do not always have much time, and expect a 2-3 hour road trip to most locations. Have heard, but cannot comfirm, that Beltzville Res is a good location.
It has been tough learning several new locations. Seems everytime I have a lake down to where I can go and be sure to catch something it is time to move again.
So any helpful information would be great. Thanks everyone and may 2009 be a great fishing year!

Betlsville, Wallenpaupack, Blue Marsh and Nockemixen and Mauch Chunk all have some nice walleye. But none are big fisheries, at least not like the Great Lakes
and upper NY. Beltsville is deep with lake trout also and a great smallie population. Main lake area is long and open and gets heavy recrecational pressure
throughout the summer months.

Marburg is a also a good bet in York county. We hit some 'eyes last year up to 6 lbs.

take a weekend and go up to Oneida in NY
take 81 north takes you right to lake!! you cant go wrong up there. Don't forget the susq. river come fall and winter. Red Hill dam puts out lots of walleyes! |

I am from that area and when time permits I do go there. I am hoping to find something closer to Fort Dix, you know an easy day trip out and back. You could
say I am trying to avoid the learning of a lake on my own and hoping for some information like where on the waters, what lures work best. Not all the answers,
just a decent starting point. Like I said, I can figure it out, but by the time I am moving again. Just looking for some insight for the lakes around here.
